Low Stage Thermal Lockout. Thermal cutout occurs in three consecutive low/high stage cycles; low stage locks out for 4 hours or until 24 V power is recycled.

Diagnose root cause of repeated thermal cutout (code 71). Check compressor overload, capacitor, refrigerant charge, and airflow. Recycle 24 V power to reset lockout after root cause is corrected.
