If the thermostat IS calling for heat (set well above room temperature) and the LED stays in the slow standby-blink rather than switching to the faster heat-cycle blink, that points to a broken or miswired thermostat connection, a bad thermostat, or a failed 24V transformer rather than a board fault — check the W wire at both ends and confirm 24V is present at the board before assuming the control itself is bad.
