Full Diagnosis
Indicates the indoor unit's T1 temperature sensor is reading open, shorted, or outside its valid range. This is a separate sensor from the room-ambient thermistor covered under E1 — T1 typically monitors indoor coil or pipe temperature and feeds the board's freeze-protection and mode-switching logic. When it trips, the indoor unit usually ends the active cooling or heating cycle and locks out compressor operation until the sensor reads normal again.

Check the T1 sensor's wiring harness and connector at the indoor PCB for looseness, corrosion, or a pinched wire. Verify the sensor is properly clipped onto the coil or pipe and making good contact. Test the sensor's resistance against the manufacturer's temperature/resistance chart for the model. Replace the sensor if it reads open, shorted, or inconsistent with actual coil temperature.
