Full Diagnosis

Memory module (PM) error – data missing or corrupt. The plug-in personality/memory module that stores the outdoor unit's configuration and operating data is reporting data as missing or corrupted, and the board relies on this module to know model-specific staging and control parameters, so it can't run correctly until valid data is restored. This differs from Red 16 (a demand configuration fault, where the module is readable but the dip-switch or setup configuration doesn't match the installed equipment) — Red 14 is a data/hardware fault with the module itself, not a setup mismatch.

All Recorded Causes

With power off, remove and firmly reinsert the plug-in memory module on the control board, checking its pins for corrosion or bending. Restore power and see if the fault clears. If it recurs, the module may be defective and need replacement with one matched to the unit's model, or it may need reprogramming by a technician with the proper equipment; in some cases the control board's module socket itself has failed and the board will need service.
