230VAC Under Voltage Event. The board measures incoming 230VAC line voltage to the outdoor unit below the acceptable threshold and stands the compressor down for the retry interval rather than let it run and draw excess current at low voltage, which risks compressor and inverter damage. This is distinct from code 92 (Inverter VDC-Out Under Voltage), which measures the inverter's internal DC bus voltage after rectification rather than the incoming AC line — a problem can show up on one without the other depending on whether the fault originates in the supply or inside the inverter itself. It's also a longer, steadier condition than codes 46 (Brownout Event) or 49 (230VAC Dropout-Reset Event), both of which trigger a shorter 5-minute cycle delay for transient voltage sags rather than the 15-minute retry used here for a sustained under-voltage reading. If 93 recurs across multiple cycles rather than clearing after one retry, the supply problem is ongoing rather than a momentary dip.
Measure supply voltage at the outdoor disconnect under load (compressor attempting to start), since voltage can look fine at idle and sag only once the compressor draws inrush current. Check for undersized wiring, long circuit runs, or loose connections anywhere between the panel and the outdoor disconnect that would cause voltage drop under load. Compare against codes 46 and 49 in the unit's history — frequent brownout/dropout events alongside 93 point to a supply-side problem rather than a unit fault. Contact the utility company if supply voltage is confirmed consistently below specification even with wiring ruled out. Board retries after 15 minutes.
