Full Diagnosis

Error detail: the outdoor unit's superheat control logic calculates discharge superheat from the discharge thermistor and finds it abnormally low, indicating the compressor may be running too close to saturation or drawing in liquid refrigerant rather than fully vaporized gas. The outdoor control board reduces or shuts down compressor operation to prevent liquid slugging and oil washout damage, then typically attempts a restart once conditions normalize but locks out after repeated occurrences. This differs from U3, which flags a hard-failed discharge thermistor (open/short circuit); U7 assumes the sensor is reading correctly but the underlying refrigerant condition is abnormal.
