Full Diagnosis

F22 trips when the outdoor unit's incoming AC line current exceeds the safe threshold monitored by the outdoor PCB — a whole-unit input-current protection rather than a component-specific one. This differs from F2, which reports overcurrent specifically at the compressor drive, and from F23, which is a single-phase overcurrent check within the compressor circuit; F22 is the broader AC-supply-side guard. When it trips, the outdoor unit shuts down compressor and fan operation, which cuts cooling/heating to all indoor units served by that outdoor unit.
