Full Diagnosis

F9 indicates the indoor unit's front auto-lifting (motorized) panel is not fully closed or has failed to reach its closed position, as detected by the panel's position switch. Unlike the sensor and current faults elsewhere in the F-series, this is a mechanical/positional fault — the board is reading a switch state rather than an electrical value — and it typically holds the unit in a fault state or blocks normal fan and compressor operation until the panel closes and confirms position. This affects only the individual indoor unit reporting it, not the outdoor unit or other zones in a multi-zone system.
