Full Diagnosis
AH is specific to SkyAir indoor units fitted with the optional electrostatic air cleaner/dust collector accessory — it signals that the dust-collecting element, its high-voltage power supply, or the insulator components have failed or become contaminated enough to disrupt normal operation. Because it depends on an accessory, AH will never appear on units without the air cleaner option installed, unlike A-series codes which apply to the base indoor unit. The unit typically continues running but flags the fault until the air cleaner component is cleaned or replaced.
All Recorded Causes
Heavily soiled or damaged dust-collecting element, tracking or arcing across a stained insulator, failed high-voltage power supply unit for the electrostatic cleaner, loose or corroded wiring to the air cleaner assembly, defective indoor unit PCB interface with the air cleaner circuit.
Verify Before Replacing Parts
- Confirm the exact Daikin model family and skyair context before acting on a generic code description.
- Confirm filter condition, blower operation, and coil cleanliness before replacing any controls — start by ruling out whether heavily soiled or damaged dust-collecting element, tracking or arcing across a stained ins….
- Measure airflow-related readings that match the symptom, such as temperature split or static pressure, and check whether the next candidate on the list.
- After the correction, run the system long enough to confirm the skyair fault does not return under normal load.
