Full Diagnosis
JC reports a malfunction of the low-pressure sensor on the outdoor unit — an electronic transducer fault distinct from H4's mechanical low-pressure switch circuit fault, and distinct from JA, which is the equivalent malfunction on the high-pressure sensor. A frequent real-world cause is a high- and low-pressure sensor swapped during installation or service, which reads as a sensor malfunction even though both sensors are functionally fine. The outdoor unit halts compressor operation until the sensor fault clears.

Defective or failed low-pressure sensor, loose or corroded sensor connector, high-pressure sensor mistakenly connected in place of the low-pressure sensor during installation or service, defective outdoor unit control PCB sensor input circuit, sensor wiring pinched or damaged during panel service.

- Confirm the exact Daikin model family and skyair context before acting on a generic code description.
- Verify airflow first, then confirm operating pressures and temperature relationship before adjusting charge, since defective or failed low-pressure sensor, loose or corroded sensor connector, high-pressure….
- Look for restrictions, iced coils, or dirty heat-transfer surfaces that can mimic a charge problem, and separately confirm the next candidate on the list.
- After the correction, run the system long enough to confirm the skyair fault does not return under normal load.
