Full Diagnosis
PH indicates a fault in the refrigerant cylinder heater circuit used during automatic refrigerant charging — the heater (and its thermistor/connector) that maintains cylinder pressure so refrigerant feeds into the system at a controlled rate has failed — rather than the cylinder simply running empty. This distinguishes PH from PA and PC, which report that the master or slave-unit-2 cylinder itself is empty, and from P8, which is a freeze-protection stop rather than a heater-equipment fault. The charging routine aborts and must be restarted once the heater circuit is repaired.

Defective refrigerant cylinder heater element. Heater thermistor open, shorted, or disconnected. Damaged or loose connector between heater and control PCB. Defective outdoor unit PCB heater-control circuit. Heater not properly seated on the cylinder.

- After the correction, run the system long enough to confirm the packaged fault does not return under normal load.
